Corvette Upgrades

I picked up a deal on ebay last year on ebay and purchased an 05 Black C6 Corvette. 400 Hp, 4.3 seconds 0-60, and am one of the few drivers who actually drives a corvette the way it was meant to be driven. (Fast and furious.)

A supercharger kit will run about 10K Canadian installed (which is close to US$$ now.)
I’m told she’ll pull high 560 - 580hp to the rear, but still question the fact I don’t have a Z51 suspension upgrade package, or an upgrade exhaust.

After these upgrades are done, I’ll have less than $55,000 USD into this car (and she has low miles too)

Am I best to spend another 10+ grand in addition to this hypothetical upgrade to get an 2006 Z06? (505 hp, and all the bells and whistles)

I just recently purchased Need For Speed: Pro Street. I love it and its a great game. I am 35% through the game and find myself stuck on the drag races. I have the 70′ SS chevelle and a Corvette ZO6. Both are maxed out of mods and still barely brake 600 horsepower. I keep losing and I can’t beat the harder guys with 700-900 horsepower. What am I doing wrong? Is there special parts that I can win that have more effect on the car performance wise? Please help. Thanks

My boyfriend and I have been together almost a year and we see each other almost daily - we work together 5, sometimes 6 nights a week and we work out together 6 days a week.

Other than that, we don’t do anything together.
When I ask him to do something with me, either he doesn’t want to or it’s not anything he’d like to do. Unless of course, I’m paying and then he’s all for it.

He makes plenty of money and yet he says he’d rather stay at home to SAVE his money…he says that old line - “Nobody got rich by spending.” So, in one breath he tells me he can’t afford to take us out to the movies ($20 tops) and yet he can’t decide whether to buy superchargers for his GTO ($9,000) or just upgrade and buy a new corvette. (I don’t even know the base price for THAT!) So, most of the time, I do my own thing and he hangs out at his Parent’s house - where he still LIVES! At 23! Anytime he DOES take me out, it’s usually to dinner. We never do anything else, even if I BEG.
Anytime I get mad about it, he always turns it around and says things like “Well, what have you done for ME?” or he reminds me of the expensive presents he got me for my Birthday or Christmas. Presents he “forgot” to take the price tag off of, presents which he still reminds me of the cost he paid for them - even though they were things I don’t even like. It’s as though he doesn’t even know me at all. It;s not so much about the money, I’d be happy even going on a damn picnic, but even that’s hard to do because then he’ll just rant about the cost of gas. And if he DOES take me out, it’s always just to dinner. Never anything else. A movie, if I’m lucky. Most of the time, we will split the cost of things, just so we can do more together, but even then, he usually says he’s not up for anything else. Usually, he’ll hang out around his house. His Parents take care of everything for him. His Mother still buys his clothes. He never wants to do anything unless other people are paying for him.
And we do see each other a lot, but he likes it that way. Trust me, that is not the issue here. I am the one who needs my space. He would be happy seeing me every second of every day. I have to tell him to leave me alone and he always gets upset over it. That is not the issue.
The issue is he doesn’t even make the effort to take me out or do anything together as a couple - as far as socially.
He makes it about money, but I think he’s just selfish in general.

I’d like to hear back from you all on the 2 cars. Seems like for 2006 the STI beat the EVO. I drive an 06 Scooby STI now. No mods! It’s a real race car which belongs on the track. Before that i owned Vipers, Corvettes(Z06’s included), Benzes(c55 AMG included), BMW’s(M5 included), Cadillacs(CTS-V included), Acura NSX’s, IROC-Z’s, Mustangs, etc, etc, about 30-40 good performance cars in all, with more than 300hp each. Scooby is not as much fun as the rear-wheel drive cars with over 300hp, but it’s definitely the best handling car I’ve had. Likely better than Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s(never had them but driven plenty). I’d like to hear back from the serious driving enthusiasts and fans alike - which car do you think is better - EVO or STI, new models. also i am beefing up the frame, and im also going to add a pretty hefty suspension under it.

My celica is the first car that i got all on my own; I have a few mods on it. 18″ rims ( custom made when i went to the philippines), intakes and exhaust, got heads polished. and a few minor things that i personally put into it. ‘91 supra has one owner; who also is into cars ( he recently got his corvette Z06). last time he did a dyno on the supra, they got a little over 400hp on it. Keep in mind I already have a weekend car (’06 slk55 amg) and a family car (’07 GL450). Am looking for on everyday car that a can play around with.

I really love the car but i want something with lower miles so is it best to sell it privately to maxmize the amount i can get for it now?

and my credit is garbage so normal financing options dont apply to me i’ve got to use cash on a trade in.

i thought the crossfire came on some of the 82 and all of the 84 vettes which was the last year for it.

A friend of mine gave me a set of coil packs off of his ‘vette. Have been upgrading my silverado and thought these might be a nice addition. Will they work and would it be advantagous to put them on. I have put MSD 8mm wires, NGK V-power plugs, K&N cold air intake, 150 NOS shot and have tuned my truck with a diablo sport predator tuner. Any guidance on this would help.
